Freezing made-up formula is not recommended. Freezing should only be used if there is no alternative as the defrosted product, like all high fat- containing products, can separate. If you do freeze infant formula you should make sure it is properly defrosted before heating. Extra shaking of the product may be required before and after warming to ensure the powder is adequately dispersed in the water. Do not store defrosted formula and never refreeze.
